SUMMERTIME!

Hello hello!! Happy summer to you all! The past couple of months have been soo crazy around here. I've had one baby graduate highschool...and one baby graduate preschool!! Awe...my heart is full.. So excited for summer to be here. I now do not have to worry about my older sons schedule, because he has a job and a car and a life...which I am less and less apart of, it seems...Friends are his priority now. But, that does free up time for my little ones..so it works out I guess. I'm hoping to finish some projects and post the ones that I have finished to my blog soon. AND.... My husband surprised me with a new laptop...we got one as a graduation gift for my son and he picked one up for me as well...So, I can work on my blog, with out the frustration of having to use my 100 year old computer. Till next time! Feli

Get It Together!

Oh my poor little blog...I have neglected you so.. I really have no idea how other mommy bloggers get anything done..Let me rephrase, I have no idea how any SAHM's get any blogging done. I have two little ones, 5 and 20 months old, and I absolutely do not find time to sit and figure out how this whole blog thing works. I have so much to share and I find myself thinking, " oh this would be great material for my blog" ..and by the end of the day, I have forgotten about it or I am just too tired to sit down and write. I see all these great link parties that I would like to participate in, but I haven't the faintest idea how to link up. Not to mention my computer is a P.O.S! half the time it works, half the time it doesn't. I am always baking or cooking something beautiful and I would love to share it on my blog...but who has time to stop and photograph while you are trying to get dinner or breakfast on the table?? HOW DO YOU DO IT?? lol...Is there a schedule that you keep? Do you have a sitter at home while you work? Do you send the kiddos to MDO? Don't get me started on Pinterest or Twitter...whats that?? I love Pinterest...on it all the time...but this Twitter thing??? I feel so silly tweeting..thinking to myself "does anyone care?" And goodness almighty..how do you get your blog seen? How do you get people to follow you? I feel like I'm basically talking to myself...which is strangely not an unusual thing..oh my.. Hello..is anyone out there??

Happy Monday!

Soooo I bought a couple of cheap mugs at the HEB yesterday...because they were too cute, and I used  one this morning. I usually have to heat my coffee at least once before I even drink it, because I can never sit to enjoy it as soon as I pour it. So I popped it into the microwave (making sure it was microwave safe first) for 30 seconds....I go to pull it out and OUCH!!! I burned my middle finger on my right hand...leaving me totally unable to do anything for the rest of the entire day..:)
I wanted to throw them in the trash I was so mad...but that would be throwing out six bucks and six bucks is six bucks. So I came up with a solution so that I would never burn myself using them again...

Yup, that will remind me NOT to microwave, and I can keep this cheap, cute mug.

Busy busy

Hello all, I know that I haven't been on since September but here I am again.
I haven't been consistent for a few reasons-

Blogging really does require quite a bit of time, and I haven't been able to fit it in the way I need to.
The past couple of months have been a little rough in my personal life, won't go into that (who really wants to hear it..haha)
And learning how to build a successful blog is not that easy, it too requires lots of time...not to mention the fact that I am not that tech savvy...also slows me down.
Anyway, with that being said, I'm here today to post a great recipe I conjured up myself, completely by accident, and because I was craving chocolate for breakfast, but wanted something healthy.
HOT COCOA OATMEAL!!! Yes, that's right, oatmeal that is like having a cup of hot cocoa..mmmm..warms the soul I tell ya:)
Ingredients for two servings:
1 cup oats ( I use the Quaker 1 minute brand)
1 3/4 cup of water or milk, whichever you prefer
2 tbs of unsweetened cocoa
2 tbs brown sugar (or more/less according to your taste)
1/2 tsp vanilla
Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg

Bring liquid to a boil, add cocoa, stir for about 45 seconds
Add oats, cook according to pkg
Add vanilla
Stir in brown sugar and add spices
That's it! It's soooo yummy and not too chocolatey..if that is even a word...yes it has to be..
I also added nuts to mine. Dress it how you want!
Enjoy :)

Peace out September!

Hello hello hello!!!
This month has been challenging for one  reason or another, not really been in the mood..
Blame it on the age old lesson " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"
And so I haven't...but I feel as if I'm going to explode! Exploding no es bueno. So, here goes:
Finally weaned Luke...much harder on me emotionally than I thought it would be...
Luke turned one year old, and the husband and I couldn't come to an agreement on a party...I wanted one, he didn't really want to participate financially..lol
Scheduled the party, only to have it rained out
Trying to lose weight...for real this time, down 8 lbs :)
Things are tight...clothes and money...hahaha
I am lonely during the week, but then my husband drives me crazy when he's here..
And the number one reason September can kiss my butt...
HONEY FORGOT OUR ANNIVERSARY...AGAIN...
and has yet to make it up to us..
Blame it on his job...is takes a lot from him.
So now that I'm over it all, I can have my Lukies party, and get excited about my favorite holiday...Halloween!!
Love to you all
Feli :)

Preschool

My baby started a mothers day out program at church this week and I am beyond proud of how he handled his first day. Anyone who know us will understand. My son and I are homies...
I have been at home with him for his whole life ( except when I got a job at a daycare for not even a year, and he went there too) and we are inseparable. I always joke that I don't know who's separation anxiety is worse, his or mine..probably mine :)
I knew he was ready to be with friends. He's a big brother now, and he's stepped into that role very surprisingly, never being jealous of Luke or the attention he requires. Yup, that's my baby..he's a big boy now.

I wanted to do this with our chalkboard, just like I've seen on Pinterest, but COULD NOT FIND THE CHALK!! It was where I left it, of all places :/

Mom Fail

Somebody call the t-ball police...I didn't take Rey to practice yesterday..Yes. I understand he is 4 years old and you gotta "start em young" but I dropped the ball. ( can you hear the sarcasm)
Anyway, yesterday was just not gonna happen. I had been gone from my Luke, who still nurses, all day. Yes, he had bottles but at 5pm he no longer wanted a bottle or food, he wanted me. I was trying to get dinner on the table, or at least halfway there before I took Rey to practice, so Luke had to settle for my MIL..which he was just not having anymore. I got Rey ready, and dinner halfway there, had a screaming headache (as usual) and was almost out the door, when I said to myself "self, Luke needs you, look at him, he wants you too, as does everything else that goes on in the house, yea, tball is 5 minutes away..but go to your baby..he misses you" So in the chaos of it all, I didn't go.
Oh well..good thing is, he is only 4, almost 5, and if he plays all through school, he's got about 13 more years to play.
